Nadjiwan is the musical project of Marc Meriläinen, a Toronto-based artist and member of the Chippewas of Nawash Unceded First Nation. With a career spanning over 30 years, Nadjiwan blends traditional Indigenous storytelling with alternative rock, creating a unique sonic experience. Marc’s work reflects his Ojibway heritage and explores themes of identity, resilience, and cultural celebration. His albums, including The Great Sea and The Mission, showcase his innovative approach to music. Beyond his solo work, Marc has collaborated with other Indigenous artists and toured extensively, sharing his powerful message and captivating performances across Canada and beyond.
