Come and experience the magic of the Steinway & Sons Spirio – the piano that plays itself! Through the power of artistry and engineering you will be able to listen and watch some of the world’s greatest piano players in the West Wing – nearly indistinguishable from a live performance.
Performance by Aleksandar Gajic & Milos Popovic from 3-5pm. Aleksandar Gajic is a violinist, composer, arranger and a recording artist with a distinguished career in classical, folk, jazz and world music. Former concert-master of the Symphony Orchestra of Radio Television of Serbia, Aleksandar has served for many years with the Ontario Philharmonia, Windsor Symphony Orchestra, Toronto Philharmonia, Sinfonia Toronto, and Canadian Sinfonietta. In 2004 he founded the acclaimed klezmer/East European fusion ensemble Beyond the Pale, with whom he won the 2010 Canadian Folk Music Award for Best Instrumental Group. Aleksandar has also won a CFM Award and a World Music Juno for his work with Cuban-Jewish fusion group Odessa-Havana.
The Spirio will play (itself) Mon-Fri from 7:30am – 9:30am and 12:00pm – 2:00pm, and on Sundays at 12:00pm -2:00pm and 4:00pm – 6:00pm. You can catch special live performances on weekday evenings from 5:00-6:00pm and Saturdays 3:00pm – 5:00pm.
