Nothing More
Nothing Less

Nothing More Nothing Less is an immersive installation of butterflies presented through different mediums throughout Union Station.

These butterflies, containing the artist’s signature hand painted spots, represent self-expression and the joyfulness of the human spirit. Each piece merges entomology with curiosity, exploring themes of metamorphosis, transformation and evolution. Sook seeks to bring a fresh perspective on how we can celebrate Black history.

By using creativity to showcase alternate possibilities, Sook explores what can come from expressing one’s self without the confines of depicting what is considered to be traditional Black art. He aims to highlight the importance of creating without limitations, encouraging artists and community members alike to think boundlessly.

Each butterfly carries a message: a reflection of the past, a celebration of the present, and an invitation to explore a new horizon.
