David Ariza is a Juno Award winning Colombian electronic artist, DJ, and producer based in Toronto. His sets blend deep
house, techno, and Latin rhythms into immersive journeys that move between raw energy and cinematic storytelling.
Raised in Bucaramanga and shaped by residencies in Bogotá and Los Angeles, David draws on ancestral percussion and
contemporary club culture to create music that feels both rooted and futuristic. Through his creative universe,
innerpeaceouterspace, he explores dualities of light and shadow, ceremony and nightlife. On the dancefloor, David’s
philosophy is simple: rhythm is a language that connects us all.
I was drawn to how DJs can shape time and emotion on the dancefloor. For me it’s about telling a story and creating a journey that moves people through memory, joy, release, and discovery. Growing up between Colombia
and Canada, I was surrounded by rhythms and cultures that made me realize music is one of the deepest ways we connect.
A blend of Detroit house classics, deep Latin percussion cuts, and some experimental electronic textures I’ve been working on in the studio. Artists like Jayda G, Nicolas Jaar, DJ Minx, and old-school cumbia edits are on rotation.
Union is such a crossroads, where different walks of life intersect. I love how the space itself becomes a gathering point for culture, community, and creativity.
I love cooking, and I often think about food as a guide to music. Balancing flavors in a dish feels a lot like balancing rhythms and textures in a set. Both are about layering, timing, and creating an experience that brings people
together.
