Our High School sport culture revolved around DJs a lot and I wanted to be a part of it.

Meet North English, the maestro of mixing who’s all about blending Dancehall, Afrobeats, Hip-Hop, and mind-blowing mashups. With a golden touch in engineering, North English doesn’t just play tracks – he creates epic soundscapes that set dance floors on fire all over Canada. Known as the “Style Bender,” he infuses Scarborough basement party influences into his mixes, giving them an irresistible edge. Get ready for a musical joyride that breaks boundaries and takes you on a sonic adventure!


What inspired you to DJ?

Growing up watching my brothers friends, Baby Blue Soundcrew make mixtapes and music videos, as well as our High School sport culture revolved around DJs a lot and I wanted to be a part of it.

What is your favourite thing about Union Station?

The wide range of shows and activities, from classical performance matinees to winter ice skating. The evolutions from the Union I knew growing up.

What’s something surprising about you that people may not know?

I was a boy scout, a cadet and used to work for an auditing commission of the provincial government.
