North English is a multi-disciplinary creative from Toronto’s East End. Growing up in the Scarborough community his passion for music was evident to everyone around him, spending all of his time either DJ-ing, engineering, or creating his own projects and experiences. North has created engaging content and programming for and with youth all across the province in collaborations ranging from the Toronto Public Library at home in Malvern, to the government commissioned Provincial Advocacy for Children and Youth. North also graduated from The Remix Project in 2017 while receiving the ‘Make it Happen’ award and then earned his first Certified Gold Plaque for his engineering efforts in 2020. North aims to keep creating quality experiences and content, with more collaborations to create opportunities for younger artists to blossom.
My sister tells me I used to pretend to be a DJ back when I was three years old when my dad would play music. Seeing his records and all the people that used to come over and dance really used to captivate me. Later on in High School I had a guidance counsellor who was a DJ and the rest was history!
My favourite thing is definitely the old architecture on the VIA rail side of the building. I feel like a time traveller walking through!
I secretly believe pineapples go on pizza :p
