Graeme Jonez is an Anishinaabe roots-rock artist and songwriter based in Toronto, Ontario. A storyteller at heart, Jonez’s Indigenous culture and love for old folk & blues music have shaped his unique musical style, classified as everything from alt-folk to outlaw country and even “urban country punk.” Jonez’s first major full-length album, Creatures & Criminals, was released in 2023. His latest single “The Flood!” reached #1 on the Indigenous Music Countdown (March 2024) and earned him a 2024 Merilainen Music Award for Single of the Year. Jonez is a member of the Sheguiandah First Nation on Manitoulin Island and an alumni of Manitoba Music’s Indigenous Music Residency.
