Mekaal Hasan Band will be presenting a contemporary musical tribute to the legendary Qawali artist, Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan.

Featuring a group of top tier Canadian and Pakistani musicians,  the Mekaal Hasan Band,  fronted by guitarist Mekaal Hasan and featuring Shahzad Ali Khan as the Qawali vocalist, will create a modern reimagining of the traditional style of Qawalli, with a focus on the impact of Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan’s songs on the world of music.
