Jay Douglas is a three-time JUNO Award nominee, music producer, and bandleader of the Jay Douglas All-Star Band. His career spans international stages and festivals, including Rastafest in Toronto and the Four Seasons Reggae Cruise in Atlanta.
He has collaborated with renowned reggae artists such as Beres Hammond, Freddie McGregor, Marcia Griffiths, Luciano, Ken Boothe, Leroy Sibbles, Ziggy Marley, and legendary guitarist Ernest Ranglin. Beyond performance, he has contributed to community initiatives, including supporting the establishment of Reggae Lane in Toronto.
The Toronto Blues Society (TBS) is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting and preserving the legacy of blues music. As it celebrates over 40 years of supporting the genre, it continues to honour its roots while fostering future generations of artists.
