Toronto native DJ K-Stylez’ passion for music and instrumentals as a pre-teen and throughout high school allowed him to make the decision to start DJ’ing. In 2015 he began to take it seriously; since then he’s been able to DJ across the GTA and Canada, as well as internationally throughout urban clubs, Afro pop concerts and events. Notable events he’s been able to Dj over the years were: OVO bounce 2019, A3C festival in Atlanta, and TD Union Beats just to name a few.
Just being around music at such a young age, going to church with my mom, and learning drums as well as certain CDs my dad would play around us fuelled my passion for music, and then in high school my friends started DJing for fun.
I listen to a lot of Afrobeats, Amapiano, Hip hop, Trap, reggae and dancehall. Artists such as Friyie, Gustavo Guapo, Burna Boy, Rema, Asake, FireboyDml, just to name a few artists.
Just the energy, I feel like you know when you have arrived at Union Station. It’s a different Toronto energy, if you know you know.
I had two graduations in one year in 2019. I graduated from the Remix Project and York university same year. Also, after music basketball is my passion, probably even ties with music. Raptors in 6 all day.
