Myles Isley is a multidisciplinary artist and creative producer. His works, whether artistic or experiential, are reflections of himself, his community, and how he interprets his surroundings. Each of his practices serve as ways for him to transmute his experiences in the world and with himself. Through event production, DJ’ing, writing, photography, and creative direction, he finds ways to translate our shared experiences and create pathways to connection.
As a child I fell in love with Hip-Hop, and tirelessly studied the originators like Cool Herc and Grandmaster Flash. As an homage to them I aim to introduce people to new sounds and enriching vibrations.
Mainly R&B acts such as Cleo Sol, Donell Jones, D’Angelo, and Sade. I also can’t get enough of guys like Robert Glasper, Yussef Dayes, and Venna.
My favorite thing about Union Station is the memories it holds. I used to pass through my uncle and be awe-stricken by the intensity and vibrancy of the courts and hallways. It was electrifying.
One thing that people may not know about me is that I also write and sing. Music is everything to me and to express myself through music is my life’s greatest pleasure.
