“We’re so excited for the return of Union Winter and with the new twist of our indoor roller-skating rink,” said Lawrence Zucker, CEO of Osmington. “With free entry and complimentary skate and protective gear rentals, we are excited that this event is available for all Torontonians. Union will be the go-to destination this holiday and winter season and we can’t wait to welcome people to the station to explore all of the amazing things we have to offer, including brand new retailers and the Union Market. ”
The Roller Express rink can be found in the TD West Carriageway, a newly named space at Union Station, located on the lower level near the restaurants. This space was originally used as access for carriages for pickups and drop-offs and, as part of the Union Station Revitalization Project, has been enclosed in a glass roof that provides unique and stunning views of the surrounding area and CN Tower.
To help you find the TD West Carriageway and all of the other great spaces inside Union Station, TD will be installing an innovative, holographic concierge service in the Bay Street Promenade by mid-December. Simply use the menu to tell your hosts where you’d like to go and they’ll map your way for you and provide a QR code so you can take the directions with you.
“TD is excited to collaborate with the City of Toronto and Osmington to help bring Union Winter and the new roller-skating rink to life,” said Michael Armstrong, Vice President of Canadian Brand and Sponsorships at TD Bank Group. “The holidays are a special time to create memorable moments with friends and family, and this year we are thrilled to share this new experience with the community. We encourage people of all ages to come and check out all the various activities available at Union this season.”
In addition, AriZona is creating a cool retro activation booth within the space. The booth will be quirky and consist of arcade games, merchandise, and sample AriZona Hard beverages on some 19+ nights.
Union will be partnering with Amano and Union Chicken, who have restaurants at Union Station, to provide a snack and drink menu exclusive to the experience.
