Jordan Sook is a contemporary mixed media artist who works and resides in Toronto, Canada. He began his artistic career in 2015, and has since exhibited in various group shows including the MacLaren Art Centre (2017), the Manifesto Art Festival (2018), and The Power Plant Contemporary Art Gallery (2018). His work ranges from acrylic paintings to sculptures and installations of recontextualized themes in pop-culture. Sook’s distinctive personal style emanates youth and playfulness through colour, line, and form. The work invites us to view the world from a subjective innocence while exploring the relationship to the modern human complex in relation to consumerism, economics and the social environment.
"We now have an opportunity to look back at the contributions of those before us—100 years removed and amidst a global pandemic."
